So... Last Friday night post!!! I am going to miss y'all!! Someone please pick up the torch and carry it so I can come and eat for many meals!!! BEN NORRIS Will be IN THE HOUSE!!! KJ’s Loyal Customers, Family & Friends: KJ’s will be closing effective 10/1. We will be open ALL WEEK up until 10:00pm on 9/30. Ben Norris will be playing at 6:30! Help us kick off this last week with a bang! Jonathan and I will be there too for all the hugs we can get! Most of you all know that I am a wife and mother of four boys ranging 2 to 22. I work a full time job in the commercial insurance industry and also run/work a restaurant. The toll of this all has finally over taken the joy of maintaining all of these areas. For me, family is more important and is my true joy in life!!! So the decision – while hard, is real simple. Customers: Thank you the for all of the support and loyalty you have had to KJ’s. Some of you coming every day, every week, etc…through the good days and the not so good days… you have been far more than just a customer to me. You have been my strength and pushed me to be and do better every day! There are friendships that I am truly grateful for, that will be taken beyond the closure. Thank you!!! Can’t wait to make those visits to GA & FL, see those sweet babies enter the world and birthday parties now! Staff members: This is a very hard industry to employee… A lot of LOST people out there… but the crew I close with and recently off to school… There is not enough room to say it all…. your determination to push through overwhelming circumstances, tight spaces, being there every shift, coming in for those that did not, going above and beyond, being there to encourage me when most would break, your loyalty, etc... WITHOUT YOU, WE WOULD HAVE NEVER MADE IT THIS FAR. Thank you for being YOU!!! I wish each of you the very, very best!!! I know you will go very far in life! I will miss my KJ’s team and I hope this is not the end of our realationship! Most Importantly – MY GOD, HUSBAND, CHILDREN, FAMILY & FRIENDS- You have been my rock, my peace, my strength, guidance and comfort throughout this all. THE REASON WE HAVE BEEN SUCESSFUL!! Thank you for being there when people called out, or did not show up at all, last minute babysitting, a shoulder to lean on when things were hard/stressful, etc.. THANK YOU!! There has been so much I have missed out on… ball games, birthday parties, everyday life, etc… I LOVE YOU and I so look forward to spending more time with you! With all that being said- if anyone has ever had a dream to own your own restaurant – KJ’s is for sale. Private message me- Serious inquires only. I would love to see KJ’s remain open, or a new restaurant move in. Our landlords, Bob and Melissa Wall have been amazing!!! Every time we have ever called on them – they have been there to repair, correct, or resolve any issue ASAP. Thank you!!! PLEASE SHARE SO WE CAN FIND HIM!! This is our sweet Mary Katherine, a waitress at Kj's. She just bought her first house about two weeks ago- a black male, wearing a mask was hiding beside her house in the woods (off Main St. In Millbrook). He robbed her her at gun point taking her vehicle and wallet. The car was used in an armed robbery last night in Montgomery at Winn Dixie last night. It has now been recovered. If you have seen anyone driving this vehicle in the past two days - please report it to the local authorities so they do not do this to anyone else!!!
